HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR HANDMADE ORIENTAL RUGS

Rotation, Padding, Vacuuming
To ensure even wear, rotation of your carpet will vary six months to two years depending on your traffic.  Also, a quality pad is a must to be used under your rug which helps to protect it from dirt, wear and slippage.
Rugs should also be vacuumed on a regular basis to remove dirt and restore life to the fibers. Be sure not to vacuum the fringe. If the fringe is long, simply place it under the rug when vacuuming. 

Repair and Restoration
Old and antique rugs sometimes need to be rewoven where worn or damaged and can be restored to new life. Newer rugs are rarely in need of repair.
